Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of DocZea ("DocZea," "we," "us"), the AI document intelligence service available at doczea.com(the "Service"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.

DocZea is an independently run service, not yet formally incorporated, based in the Philippines.

1. The Service

DocZea lets you upload receipts, invoices, and similar documents and uses AI to extract structured data from them — merchant, dates, amounts, tax, and line items — which you can then search, filter, export, and (on eligible plans) ask questions about.

2. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at hello@doczea.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

If you invite teammates to your workspace, you are responsible for their conduct within it and for the roles and permissions you grant them.

3. AI Extraction Is Not Guaranteed to Be Accurate

This is the most important thing in these Terms, so we are stating it plainly rather than burying it: AI extraction can be wrong. Every field DocZea extracts carries its own confidence score precisely because the model can misread a document, or read it correctly but assign a value to the wrong field. You are responsible for reviewing extracted data — especially tax figures, totals, and anything used for accounting, tax filing, reimbursement, or any other decision with financial or legal consequences — before relying on it. DocZea is a tool to make that review faster, not a substitute for it.

4. Plans, Billing, and Cancellation

DocZea offers Free, Starter ($9/month), Professional ($19/month), and Business ($49/month) plans, each with its own monthly document quota and feature set as described on our pricing page, plus a custom Enterprise plan. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance and renew automatically until canceled.

Payments are processed by Creem, our payment processor; we do not receive or store your full card details. Subscriptions can be managed — including cancellation — at any time from the Billing page in your account, which opens Creem's own billing portal.

Refunds: Payments are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the Billing page, and you will keep access through the end of the billing period you already paid for.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content you do not have the right to upload, or that infringes someone else's intellectual property.
• Use the Service to store or process illegal content.
• Attempt to circumvent plan quotas, rate limits, or access controls.
• Use the developer API or webhooks to abuse, overload, or scrape the Service beyond documented limits.
• Reverse-engineer the Service or use it to build a directly competing product.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Your Data, Your Ownership

You retain all rights to the documents you upload and the data extracted from them. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it to train AI models. Our use of it is limited to providing the Service to you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

7. Deleting Your Data

You can permanently delete your organization — every workspace, document, category, tag, API key, and webhook it has, and cancel any active subscription — yourself, at any time, from Settings → Danger Zone. This is irreversible. We do not hold your data hostage: if you leave, your data leaves with you (export it first from the Documents page) and is then genuinely deleted, not just hidden.

8. Our Intellectual Property

The DocZea name, logo, and the Service itself (excluding your own content) are our property or licensed to us. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WITHOUT LIMITING SECTION 3 ABOVE, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI EXTRACTION WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE, OR ERROR-FREE.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DOCZEA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE — INCLUDING DECISIONS MADE BASED ON AI-EXTRACTED DATA. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your data at any time (§7). We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or discontinue the Service with reasonable notice.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Philippines, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. Continued use of the Service after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
