For Saudi Arabia and the Gulf
Receipts and invoices that were issued in Arabic, at 15% VAT, in riyals
Most receipt scanners were built for a market with different paperwork. This one starts here.
What that actually means
The tax number is a field, not a line of text
A supplier's VAT registration number is captured as its own value alongside the VAT amount and rate. That is the difference between a folder of images and a record you can actually answer questions from when the quarter closes.
Arabic and bilingual receipts
Gulf receipts are rarely one language. Arabic and mixed Arabic-English documents were a design constraint from the start rather than a later localisation project — the market this was built for is the one that produces them. The interface itself is English today, with an Arabic UI planned.
Dinars are not two decimal places
Kuwaiti, Bahraini, Omani and Jordanian dinars are subdivided into thousandths. Software that assumes two decimals everywhere quietly turns KWD, BHD, OMR, JOD amounts into something off by a factor of ten. DocZea stores each currency at its real precision.
Totals never mix currencies
A business buying in SAR, AED and USD gets a total per currency, never one meaningless combined figure. It is a small rule that decides whether a spending report is usable at all.
Gulf currencies, at the right precision
Read from the same list the extraction pipeline is constrained to, so this page cannot drift from what the product accepts.

What DocZea is not
DocZea reads your documents and turns them into records you can search, total, and export. It is worth being direct about the boundary of that.
It is not a ZATCA e-invoicing integration. It does not issue invoices, clear them with any tax authority, or file a VAT return on your behalf. What it does is make the underlying records — supplier, date, VAT amount, VAT rate, tax registration number — structured and exportable, so preparing that return is reading a report rather than reconstructing a quarter from a drawer.
Accounting integrations for Xero, QuickBooks and Zoho Books are on the roadmap and are not shipped yet. CSV and Excel export work today, and your accountant can take either.
