For freelancers
The receipts are in a drawer, a wallet, and four email threads
You already know where they are. The problem is that finding out what you spent means handling all of them again, months later, in one sitting.
Three steps, and the filing is done
- 1
Photograph it when you get it
The camera runs in the browser on your phone, so there is nothing to install and nothing to remember to sync. The thirty seconds after paying is the only moment you will reliably have the receipt in your hand.
- 2
It reads itself
Merchant, date, tax, total and line items come back as fields, each with a confidence score. Anything uncertain is flagged for a glance rather than filed silently as a number you will trust later without checking.
- 3
Find it in January
Search by merchant, amount, or date range — not by whatever you happened to name the file. Then export the year to CSV or Excel and hand it over.
When one person outgrows the cheap plan
Professional exists for the case where the volume is real, not because freelancers should pay more.
Professional
For freelancers and heavy personal use.
- 500 documents per month
- 300 smart chat messages per month
- Spending and VAT reports
- Duplicate detection
- Priority support
The chat allowance is the part worth explaining: it lets you ask what you spent with a supplier last quarter and get an answer from your own documents, rather than building the filter yourself.
The questions worth asking first
- Do I need an accountant to use this?
- No. The export is a spreadsheet, and it is equally useful whether you send it to an accountant or fill in your own return from it.
- What if I only have a few receipts a month?
- Then stay on Free. Five documents a month, no card, and the same extraction quality the paid plans get — extraction is not a paid tier here. Upgrade only when the limit actually gets in your way.
- Is it worth it for one person?
- Starter is $9 a month for 100 documents. The comparison worth making is not against other software, it is against the hour you spend on it at the end of every quarter.
Start with the receipts you already have
Five a month on the free plan, no card. Enough to find out whether it reads yours properly.
